Attempts on Her Life
Process
The script does not indicate any of the actors, nor does it contain stage directions. As a designer I made critical choices on the form of each act, as well as how to give visual voice to the actors I perceived in each dialogue.

Attempts on Her Life by Martin Crimp
A play in 17 disconnected scenes with no specified actors and lines of dialogue marked only with dashes builds a portrait of an unseen woman named Anne, who is described as an activist, a model of car, a deceased child, a mother, a porn star, a hacker, an artist, and a film character, among other things. As these scenes progress they simultaneously paint a more detailed description of Anne, as well as a more confusing one making it impossible to separate these different "attempts" of Anne, and the text furthers this by foreshadowing future motifs and referencing details from previous scenes.
