Roadstream

Roadstream is a web application that helps travelers and their friends and family co-create the trip experience.

Contribution

I primarily worked on persona, scenario, and wireframe development, in addition to conducting preliminary research, and concept development with the group.

Instead of focusing on the travelers, Roadstream allows friends to experience the trip in real-time through ambient environmental information. This creates a space in which both the travelers and their friends can actively converse about events that have occurred as well as plan later stops on the trip. When the traveler's journey comes to an end, Roadstream serves as a rich, multimedia archive.

Roadstream surfaces subtle contextual information, such as what city the travelers are in, what music they are listening to in the car, as well as photos automatically taken from a dashboard-mounted camera.
In the map view, friends can suggest places to visit, or comment on stops that the travelers' have already added to the map.
